Saint Patrick Parish Outreach

If you feel called to be a part of the Outreach, please leave your name and contact info at the office and we will contact you.
We are St. Patrick parishioners whose 1st objective is to grow in holiness through prayer and action by being witnesses to the love of Christ.
Our primary purpose is to bring the love and hope of Christ to those suffering through personal contact and emergency assistance. All are welcome and all are necessary as our primary donation is through hours given, along with spiritual and financial support. Working with other St. Patrick ministries and area churches and organizations, there are a number of ways to get involved:
Monday Suppers served at no charge every week for any in need
Meals on Wheels-St. Patrick delivers meals every Wednesday
Food Drives-4 drives a year to benefit the Rochelle Christian Food Pantry
Food Pantry-St. Patrick staffs pantry on Tues./Fri., 4-5 times a year
Fundraising-1-2X a year
Deliver gifts to homebound parishioners 3-4X a year
Home visits-Teams of two make home visits to those seeking assistance
1st Sunday Collection-we request $1 per family each month to fund our works
"For just as a body without spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead."James 2:26
Monday Suppers
Feeding the hungry and giving drink to the thirsty, two Corporal Works of Mercy, are carried out by many volunteers at the Monday suppers. St. Patrick Outreach has eight teams and provides meals on the first, third and fourth Monday of every month. Faith Lutheran, with two teams, serves a delicious supper every second Monday. If there is a fifth Monday in the month, the Baptist Church fills the need.
All meals are prepared and served in the Firemen’s Social Hall. Those sharing these meals are not only grateful for the good food but also for the benefit of companionship. The numbers being served varies but usually between 36 and 48 are seated at the tables. When these numbers are added to the take-outs, a total of 75 to 80 plus meals have been provided to the hungry.
This is a very rewarding ministry and new volunteers are always welcome!
