What is RCIA?
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the pro-
cess established for the universal Church for individuals to
become Catholic and receive the sacraments of initia-
tion—Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist. This initia-
tion process also involves a parish community experienc-
ing a renewal in faith as it prepares and welcomes new
members into the Church.
The Rite speaks of conversion as a "spiritual journey."
Centered on fostering a deep relationship with Jesus and
the Church he founded, this journey takes place through
distinct stages over a period of time suitable to bring about
a thorough catechesis, significant experience of the parish
community, and commitment to the liturgical and moral life
of the Catholic faithful.
The RCIA process is a restoration of the ancient cate-
chumenate, arising within the first three centuries following
the era of the apostles. It was the early Church's way of
Christianizing the pagan Roman Empire. The Second Vati-
can Council called for the restoration and use of this ven-
erable and powerful method of initiation for the worldwide
Church.
If you, or anyone you know, is interested in becoming
Catholic, or is simple interested in the Good News of Je-
sus Christ, Please contact our Parish office to register,
classes will begin the first week of September.

A Message from
Father Jesus Dominguez

Welcome to St. Patrick Parish!

I am excited and grateful to be welcoming you to our website.  I know of no better faith community within which to pray, deepen, and live our faith.  I hope you find our presence on the Internet as warm and inviting as our Eucharistic-centered parish family.

We are a diverse parish and always eager to see new faces. Please browse around this website to learn about our Mass Schedule for the upcoming week, parish events, and information that you might need.

St. Patrick Parish is a community of people who believe in being Church in its beautiful diversity – traditional to contemporary, of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences.

We seek to live vibrant lives informed by the gospel of Jesus and fed by the Eucharist.  We believe that Christ embraces us in each moment, no matter what.

We pray, with spirited Eucharistic celebrations at the center of our shared faith life. We learn through our commitment to life-long faith formation.  We serve as our prayer and learning direct us to live our faith in our relationships with family and friends, and through parish ministries and community outreach.

We hope that you will find our  website informative, our parish celebrations inspiring,  and our community  welcoming.

We hope you will be fed in Word & Sacrament during our weekend liturgies and you will want to be a part of our community,  whether for a weekend or a lifetime, and share our spiritual, social and service experiences.  Please explore these possibilities both in person and through our website.

Thank you for your interest in St. Patrick Parish!  I look forward to your visit to St. Patrick and, perhaps, your decision to continue your journey of faith with us.

May we be grateful to live in the presence of God – always!
Peace,

Rev. Jesus Dominguez
