Lenten Dinners:
We had a great time at our first Lenten Dinner. Thank you to everyone who came and helped make it such a success! The homemade desserts were a big hit, and we’re especially grateful to the folks from St. Pat’s for treating us to their delicious homemade goodies.
Please join us this week for another $5 dinner — where else can you feed your family for just $5 per person?

Evening Lenten Parish Mission: Return to the Lord

Join us for a meaningful Evening Lenten Parish Mission,
Return to the Lord, led by Fr. Aaron Downing, Parochial Vicar of St. Thomas the Apostle, Crystal Lake.
Lent is God’s gracious invitation to pause, listen, and come home to Him. Through preaching, prayer, and quiet reflection, Fr. Downing will guide us to rediscover the mercy of the Father, the healing power of the Cross, and the joy of returning to God with our whole hearts.
This mission is for everyone—whether you feel strong in faith or weary and searching. Come as you are, and allow the Lord to meet you with His mercy and peace.

Acompáñenos en una significativa Misión Parroquial Vespertina de Cuaresma,
Regresa al Señor, dirigida por el Padre Alexander Suarez, Vicario Parroquial de Santa Rita, Aurora, IL.
La Cuaresma es la invitación de Dios a detenernos, escuchar y volver a Él. A través de la predicación, la oración y la reflexión en silencio, el Padre Alex nos guiará a redescubrir la misericordia del Padre, el poder sanador de la Cruz y la alegría de volver a Dios con todo nuestro corazón.
Esta misión es para todos, ya sea que se sientan fuertes en la fe o cansados y en búsqueda. Vengan como son y permitan que el Señor los encuentre con su misericordia y paz.
Stations of the Cross
There will be Stations of the Cross on Lenten Fridays at 5:00pm (except Good Friday).
Deacons and Fr Dominguez will lead each Friday of Lent in English and Spanish.

Praying the Stations of the Cross is an important spiritual practice during the season of Lent. Meditating on the sufferings of Our Lord will help us to more fully experience the joy and the victory of Easter Sunday. If you’re not able to attend The Stations of the Cross at our Church, try setting aside time to pray them in your home. We invite you this year, to make the Stations of the Cross part of your Spiritual Lenten Journey.
Vía Crucis
Habrá Vía Crucis los viernes de Cuaresma (excepto el Viernes Santo).

We invite all parishioners to join us as part of the
Lenten devotion. Deacons will lead it.

48 Hours of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
Saint Patrick’s 48 Hours of Eucharistic Adoration are moments of deep connection and contemplation before the Blessed Sacrament, a profound experience for every person who chooses to embrace it.
During our 48 hours of Eucharistic Adoration, the faithful can pray to Jesus Christ, who is present in the Eucharist.
The environment inside St Patrick Church is a beautiful, quiet and sacred space.
All are invited to enjoy a bit of peace and silence with the Lord for a few minutes or an hour.
While it is true that you can pray to God anywhere and that He is always present, He is MOST present in the Eucharist.
Christ’s great love for us was shown when He was crucified on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and give us eternal life.
He loves us without limit and offers Himself to us in the Holy sacrament of the Eucharist.
Can we not give Jesus a few minutes of love and adoration in return this coming 48 Hours Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament? We invite you to join us March 18th, March 19th and March 20th : 48 Hours of Adoration.
The schedule will be posted in the back of the Church for you to choose your day and time.
48 Horas de Adoración del Santísimo Sacramento
Las 48 horas de Adoración Eucarística de San Patricio son momentos de profunda conexión y contemplación ante el Santísimo Sacramento, una experiencia profunda para toda persona que decida participar.
Durante nuestras 48 horas de Adoración Eucarística, los fieles pueden orar a Jesucristo, presente en la Eucaristía. El ambiente dentro de la Iglesia de San Patricio es un espacio hermoso, tranquilo y sagrado.
Todos están invitados a disfrutar de un momento de paz y silencio con el Señor durante unos minutos o una hora.
Si bien es cierto que se puede orar a Dios en cualquier lugar y que Él siempre está presente, está MÁS presente en la Eucaristía.
El gran amor de Cristo por nosotros se manifestó cuando fue crucificado en la cruz para pagar la pena por nuestros pecados y darnos la vida eterna.
Él nos ama sin límites y se nos ofrece en el Santísimo Sacramento de la Eucaristía. ¿No podemos dedicarle a Jesús unos minutos de amor y adoración en estas próximas 48 Horas de Adoración del Santísimo Sacramento? Los invitamos a unirse a nosotros el 18, 19 y 20 de marzo: 48 Horas de Adoración. El horario estará publicado en la parte trasera de la iglesia para que elijan su día y hora.

The Feast of St. Joseph, which always falls in the middle of Lent, is especially commemorated and celebrated in Italy in general, and Sicily in particular, where St. Joseph has been long-regarded as the island’s Patron saint.
It is there, among Sicilians, that the tradition of the “Tavola di San Giuseppe” or “St. Joseph’s Table” has its origins.
March 19th is, in Italy, also Father’s Day—which isn’t at all surprising, as St. Joseph was, of course, the foster father of Jesus.
This celebration is a symbolic “thank you” and a renewal of the Sicilian people’s devotion to Saint Joseph.
It is a shared celebration with the entire community where the riches of food are given as alms to the poor: Traditional etiquette is that no one can be turned away from this table.
In a time when we need church, and we want to continue to pass our faith to our children, the “Table” is a wonderful place to start. Happy Feast of St. Joseph!

CEMETERY DECORATIONS , PLEASE LIMIT DECORATIONS TO ONE PER GRAVE
Natural and Artificial flowers are permitted. Pots are not to exceed 10 inches in diameter. Planters Boxes – Not exceeding 18 inches in length, 8 inches in width, 6 inches high. All containers should be of plastic or wood construction with ample drainage. They must be placed on the marker/concrete slab, not on the turf. The Cemetery will not take responsibility for damaged or stolen decorations. Some containers are not suitable for snow and harsh winter weather.
Metal stands, shepherd hooks, glass, statuary, decorative stones, and border edging are strictly prohibited.
Candles or solar lights of any kind are not permitted. These restrictions are necessary for safety reasons. Any of these objects can be picked up and hurled by lawn mowing equipment, making them potential hazards to visitors and the cemetery staff. They will be removed and disposed of immediately.
Artificial flowers are permitted on all graves in approved permanent vases or containers. All vases must be set on the concrete and must have a hole in the bottom, so that water will not be contained in the vase. American and Firemen Flags may be placed in planters with plants, or in approved permanent vases, or in the metal stake provided for this purpose. Flags may not be stuck into the ground. During the growing season, our field staff removes non-compliant items.
DECORACIONES EN EL CEMENTERIO DE SAN PATRICIO EN ROCHELLE, ILLINOIS.
Querido pueblo de DIos, les recuerdo y les comparto las reglas o normas que debemos de seguir en nuestro Cementerio católico parroquial. Usted ya puede colocar sus nuevas decoraciones después de la limpieza que hemos realizado para esta primavera. Todas las decoraciones/coronas deben estar en un caballete sobre la plataforma de concreto o la piedra de su ser querido.
POR FAVOR, LIMITE LAS DECORACIONES A UNA POR TUMBA. Se permiten flores naturales y artificiales. Las macetas no deben exceder las 10 pulgadas de diámetro. Las cajas para macetas: que no excedan las 18 pulgadas de largo, 8 pulgadas de ancho, 6 pulgadas de alto. Todos los contenedores deben ser de plástico o de madera con un orificio de drenaje. Deben colocarse sobre el marcador o la losa, no sobre el césped. El Cementerio no se hará responsable por decoraciones dañadas o robadas.
MUCHA ATENCIÓN: Los soportes de metal, los ganchos de pastor, cosas de vidrio, las estatuas, las piedras decorativas y los bordes están estrictamente prohibidos.
