SAINT PATRICK CATHOLIC CHURCH

ROCHELLE, ILLINOIS

What is Happening these days at Saint Patrick Church!

Parish Ministry Fair

Please save the date for our Parish Ministry Fair, taking place the weekend of April 18–19 after all Masses.
All parishioners are asked to take part in this important event. It is a meaningful opportunity to discover how our parish can support you, walk with you in your faith, and help you feel more connected in our community.
We encourage each of you to attend, meet fellow parishioners, learn about our ministries, and prayerfully consider where you are being called to serve and get involved. Every member of our parish has a place and a purpose.
Food and refreshments will be provided while you look around.  Find Your Place. Live Your Faith. Discover Your Meaning. Thank you for making this a priority—we look forward to seeing you there.

 Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
Saint Patrick Church encourages all parishioners to join us in our weekly participation in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
We are truly privileged to be able to celebrate Christ in the Eucharist as a central part of our community purpose.
Please join us here in our church for Adoration every week on Thursday from 8:30am-6:00pm.  The best time you spend on earth is with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament! During this time, He consoles us and helps us grow in holiness.
All are invited to answer His call and commit to one holy hour with Jesus every week, adoring Him and resting in His presence in the Blessed Sacrament.
Please use the Adoration sign up sheet located in one of the tables at the entrance of the Church.

CEMETERY DECORATIONS ,  PLEASE LIMIT DECORATIONS TO ONE PER GRAVE
Natural and Artificial flowers are permitted. Pots are not to exceed 10 inches in diameter. Planters Boxes – Not exceeding 18 inches in length, 8 inches in width, 6 inches high. All containers should be of plastic or wood construction with ample drainage. They must be placed on the marker/concrete slab, not on the turf.  The Cemetery will not take responsibility for damaged or stolen decorations. Some containers are not suitable for snow and harsh winter weather.

Metal stands, shepherd hooks, glass, statuary, decorative stones, and border edging are strictly prohibited.
Candles or solar lights of any kind are not permitted. These restrictions are necessary for safety reasons.   Any of these objects can be picked up and hurled by lawn mowing equipment, making them potential hazards to visitors and the cemetery staff. They will be removed and disposed of immediately.

Artificial flowers are permitted on all graves in approved permanent vases or containers. All vases must be set on the concrete and must have a hole in the bottom, so that water will not be contained in the vase.  American and Firemen Flags may be placed in planters with plants, or in approved permanent vases, or in the metal stake provided for this purpose. Flags may not be stuck into the ground.  During the growing season, our field staff removes non-compliant items.

Welcome to St. Patrick Parish!

I am excited and grateful to be welcoming you to our website.  I know of no better faith community within which to pray, deepen, and live our faith.  I hope you find our presence on the Internet as warm and inviting as our Eucharistic-centered parish family.

We are a diverse parish and always eager to see new faces. Please browse around this website to learn about our Mass Schedule for the upcoming week, parish events, and information that you might need.

St. Patrick Parish is a community of people who believe in being Church in its beautiful diversity – traditional to contemporary, of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences.

We seek to live vibrant lives informed by the gospel of Jesus and fed by the Eucharist.  We believe that Christ embraces us in each moment, no matter what.

We pray, with spirited Eucharistic celebrations at the center of our shared faith life. We learn through our commitment to life-long faith formation.  We serve as our prayer and learning direct us to live our faith in our relationships with family and friends, and through parish ministries and community outreach.

We hope that you will find our  website informative, our parish celebrations inspiring,  and our community  welcoming.

We hope you will be fed in Word & Sacrament during our weekend liturgies and you will want to be a part of our community,  whether for a weekend or a lifetime, and share our spiritual, social and service experiences.  Please explore these possibilities both in person and through our website.

Thank you for your interest in St. Patrick Parish!  I look forward to your visit to St. Patrick and, perhaps, your decision to continue your journey of faith with us.

May we be grateful to live in the presence of God – always!
Peace,
