I want to thank you ALL for making the You Will Be My Witnesses Campaign a success here at our parish family, Saint Patrick.
Thank you for your support of the Campaign! To date, our parish has raised $439.876.00 toward our goal of $417,228.00.

ASH WEDNESDAY IS ON FEBRUARY 18, 2026
This year, Ash Wednesday will take place on Feb. 18, 2026, which will mark the beginning of the Lenten Season.
Our Schedule for Distribution of Ashes:
8:00 am Mass in English
12:15 pm Only Bilingual Service
4:00 pm Mass in English
6:00 pm Spanish Mass
On this day, Catholics around the world will receive ashes on their foreheads in the form of a cross, accompanied by the words, “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return,” or “Repent, and believe in the Gospel.”
The observance calls the faithful to conversion, prayer, fasting, and almsgiving as they begin the 40-day journey of Lent in preparation for the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of the Lord at Easter. Ash Wednesday is a day of fasting and abstinence, underscoring the Church’s call to humility, repentance, and renewed commitment to the Gospel.

EL MIÉRCOLES DE CENIZA ES EL 18 DE FEBRERO DE 2026
Este año, el Miércoles de Ceniza será el 18 de febrero de 2026, marcando el comienzo de la Cuaresma.
Nuestro horario para la distribución de ceniza:
Misa en inglés a las 8:00 a. m.
Servicio bilingüe a las 12:15 p. m.
Misa en inglés a las 4:00 p. m.
Misa en español a las 6:00 p. m.
En este día, los católicos de todo el mundo recibirán ceniza en la frente en forma de cruz, acompañada de las palabras: «Recuerda que eres polvo y al polvo volverás», o «Arrepiéntete y cree en el Evangelio».
Esta celebración invita a los fieles a la conversión, la oración, el ayuno y la limosna, al comenzar el camino de 40 días de la Cuaresma en preparación para la Pasión, Muerte y Resurrección del Señor en Pascua. El Miércoles de Ceniza es un día de ayuno y abstinencia, que subraya el llamado de la Iglesia a la humildad, el arrepentimiento y un compromiso renovado con el Evangelio.

There will be Stations of the Cross on Lenten Fridays at 5:00pm (except Good Friday). Deacons and Fr Dominguez will lead each Friday of Lent in English and Spanish.

Praying the Stations of the Cross is an important spiritual practice during the season of Lent. Meditating on the sufferings of Our Lord will help us to more fully experience the joy and the victory of Easter Sunday. If you’re not able to attend The Stations of the Cross at our Church, try setting aside time to pray them in your home. We invite you this year, to make the Stations of the Cross part of your Spiritual Lenten Journey.

CEMETERY DECORATIONS , PLEASE LIMIT DECORATIONS TO ONE PER GRAVE
Natural and Artificial flowers are permitted. Pots are not to exceed 10 inches in diameter. Planters Boxes – Not exceeding 18 inches in length, 8 inches in width, 6 inches high. All containers should be of plastic or wood construction with ample drainage. They must be placed on the marker/concrete slab, not on the turf. The Cemetery will not take responsibility for damaged or stolen decorations. Some containers are not suitable for snow and harsh winter weather.
Metal stands, shepherd hooks, glass, statuary, decorative stones, and border edging are strictly prohibited.
Candles or solar lights of any kind are not permitted. These restrictions are necessary for safety reasons. Any of these objects can be picked up and hurled by lawn mowing equipment, making them potential hazards to visitors and the cemetery staff. They will be removed and disposed of immediately.
Artificial flowers are permitted on all graves in approved permanent vases or containers. All vases must be set on the concrete and must have a hole in the bottom, so that water will not be contained in the vase. American and Firemen Flags may be placed in planters with plants, or in approved permanent vases, or in the metal stake provided for this purpose. Flags may not be stuck into the ground. During the growing season, our field staff removes non-compliant items.
DECORACIONES EN EL CEMENTERIO DE SAN PATRICIO EN ROCHELLE, ILLINOIS.
Querido pueblo de DIos, les recuerdo y les comparto las reglas o normas que debemos de seguir en nuestro Cementerio católico parroquial. Usted ya puede colocar sus nuevas decoraciones después de la limpieza que hemos realizado para esta primavera. Todas las decoraciones/coronas deben estar en un caballete sobre la plataforma de concreto o la piedra de su ser querido.
POR FAVOR, LIMITE LAS DECORACIONES A UNA POR TUMBA. Se permiten flores naturales y artificiales. Las macetas no deben exceder las 10 pulgadas de diámetro. Las cajas para macetas: que no excedan las 18 pulgadas de largo, 8 pulgadas de ancho, 6 pulgadas de alto. Todos los contenedores deben ser de plástico o de madera con un orificio de drenaje. Deben colocarse sobre el marcador o la losa, no sobre el césped. El Cementerio no se hará responsable por decoraciones dañadas o robadas.
MUCHA ATENCIÓN: Los soportes de metal, los ganchos de pastor, cosas de vidrio, las estatuas, las piedras decorativas y los bordes están estrictamente prohibidos. No se permiten velas ni luces solares de ningún tipo. Estas restricciones son necesarias por razones de seguridad. If you would like your particular Mass intentions published in the bulletin, you must come to the office no later than Monday to give your information and donation, as bulletins go out to print on Tuesday. If you would like it to only be mentioned at Mass, Wednesday morning is the deadline. Thanks for your understanding.
